ECP Plug-N-Patch Tire Repair Units are combination tire repair patches designed to repair punctures from the inside of the tire. The plug stem fills the injury channel while the patch seals the inner liner, creating a more complete repair than a plug-only method. This style of repair is commonly used by tire shops, dealerships, service departments, and repair facilities for proper tire puncture repair.
DIRECTIONS:
Remove the tire from the wheel before repair.
Inspect the tire carefully to confirm the puncture is repairable and is not located in the sidewall or shoulder area.
Remove the object from the tire and identify the angle of the injury.
Clean and buff the inner liner around the repair area according to standard tire repair procedures.
Apply the proper vulcanizing cement or repair fluid as directed.
Insert the plug stem through the injury channel from the inside of the tire.
Pull the stem through until the patch seats firmly against the inner liner.
Stitch or roll the patch down thoroughly to remove trapped air and ensure full contact.
Trim the excess plug stem flush with the tread surface.
Apply inner liner sealer over the buffed area and around the repair, if required.
Reinstall, inflate, and check for leaks before returning the tire to service.
